Can anyone tell me where I can find an engine no on a 4cyl chrysler. All the info I can find says they are 3cyl. I live in New Zealand and we do strange things down here. Could it have had a larger powerhead fitted and how can I identify what it is.Thanks for any help you can give me this forum has already been a godsend for my 45hp

Re: Chrysler 4cyl 75hp??

cant be a 75. They were only 3 cylinders. Smallest 4 cylinder was a 90 HP and the earlier ones were still 3 cylinder through 1977. They stopped making them till 1983 and then started using 4 cylinders. Maybe the data plate is below the carbs by the air baffle. My guess is it would be is a similar place as your 45 hp data plate.

The plate says model 757HB. It is on the base of the cowling. But it has 4 cyl and appears similar to a 120 that a friend owns. Magnapower 2 CDI 2 carbs distributor. is there an engine no somewhere that will correlate to the size. If its any help it has 2 fuel pumps on the side of the block where my mates only has one

757HB is a 3 cylinder motor. Someone must have fried the old power head and rebuilt it with a different one. Good luck with that motor.
