Chrysler 55 hp...what year?

Hiya guys and gals. I'm new at this, and would like to say, that i havent found a better sight, than this one!! I have a 55hp Chrysler...would like to know the year?<br />Model # 459 HE<br />Serial# 3323<br />and it says..alternator on the cover, does that mean it has an alternator?<br /><br />THANKS....DSE35

Hi Rich.. went back out to check the model #, and its right..459 HE...I went to link you provided and i still couldnt find it... Does anyone else have any ideas??? thanks again....

I believe you have a 45 hp motor as the 45 in the beginning of the model # is the hp of the motor. goto this link and it has your model # listed as 45hp 1971-1978<br /><br />Scroll down to the 45 hp and you will see 459ha-hf,h8. Maybe someone replaced your cover with one that says 55hp<br /><br />Rich
