That boat and motor were made in the early 70's.The boat is solid made.
The motor is a good motor too.Just the parts are getting harder to find.
If the price is right(cheap) go for it.
Make sure the compression is good and do a spark test.Check the oil in the lower for metal and water.J

Yes Chrysler did make boats. Really nice solid ones. That's a really cool package. Chryslers were simple motors and easy to work on but as mentioned parts support is dwindling.

I see that's an eau claire listing.

Not sure where you are, but in Plainfield, if you call up Toms outboard, he specializes in older outboards. (Incase you have issues with the motor)

Nice package! Hull was foam filled so you need to figure out if it is waterlogged--check for a soft floor. The hull itself handled like it was on rails--excellent rough water boat.

So, you need to decide if 2500 is too much. Remember, the hull is older than 1984. That puts it at at least 25 years.

Best to go over to The Chrysler Crew and ask opinions there.

Re: Chrysler boat and Chrysler motor -- Info needed

I have a 1969 15? Raycraft that has always taken on about a gallon of water under the floor (per 2-3 or more trips fishing or rains). I have looked for cracks, pressure tested and have not found how the water is getting in. Since my purchase in 1985 the floor has gotten soft at the back seat?s stand. I took plugs from under the rear and center seat?s stands. The rear was bad with wood too soft to drill out a plug and no foam. The center was fair, solid, damp with foam. Will water deteriorate foam, as it will wood? I feel my real damage is at the rear because I store it at an angle to drain.

I store it with a trope on at a good angle with the large plug pulled. I guess I should have pulled the floor?s small plug also. Water is not always in there after 8-12 hours on the water or a bad blowing rain. I got about 2 gallons out yesterday for the first time this season (more angle gave more water). Where can I find what the structure under the floor looks like? I tried the restoration board about a week ago for info and have no hit yet. You?ll see my temp fix over the 2 soft spots attached Thanks for any info.

that foam holds the water, get it out when you replace the floor, its probably adding many pounds to the boat
