Re: Chrysler boat

On the foam, if it's got a black and yellow BIA sticker then yes it will float the weight it is rated for....course water conditions and other things apply.

Glass and alum are both heavier than water. Why should one accept one and question the other .....because they sound tinny? Grin. Probably yes.

I have had them all my life and currently have a 17' alum BB and never had a problem....even had a '65 18' Starcraft Holiday I/O once. Rembered getting high centered on a stump once and the only thing I got out of it was a shallow dent where the stump was. Alum/rivets/seals remained intact.

Re: Chrysler boat

thanx mt, do u know if there was alot of foam put in these boats?

The one that I had, did have foam in it, it was part of the structure of the boat, it was used to stiffen the hull as well as support the floor.

You might want to take a look at this website, they have quite a bit of information on Chrysler boats as well as owners manuals and brochures on many models covering many years.
