Hi all! First off let me preface my comments by filing a disclaimer.
1.) Not sure if this is the proper venue for my question, if not please let me know and I will remove my post. Also, I'm still as newbie so play nice!!

OK, here is my question. I recently purchased a nice original 1969 Chrysler Valiant 14' Runabout w/ what looks to be the original 70 hp Chrysler Outboard. Upon looking at the stack of old paperwork that came with the boat I saw that the original owner of this boat was a Mr. McGennis Adair of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. I saw over at the Chrysler Crew website that a Mr. Bob Adair was one of the original designers of the early Chrysler boats. I'm wondering if "my" Mr. Adair is any kin to Mr. Adair the designer?? I would love to be able to establish this connection and give my little boat some provenance. Anyone have any ideas or information. Thanks in advance...

originally Chrysler was LONE STAR BOATS, then Chrysler want to get into the boating business, and bought LONE STAR, eventually ruined the boating line.

As a Dodge owner I have to agree with TD... Seems Chrysler has a knack for ruining most things.
