Chrysler carb problem

I have a 75hp 1985 or 1986 year outboard. starts up fine but i have to keep choking it to keep it running. new plugs and cleaned carbs. not sure what to do next. has electric choke

Rebuild the carbs and the fuel pump diaphragm and it will run like a champ. Parts are under 30 bucks

Hi Roy,
Before you strip and rebuild the carbs and pump, I would check for an air leak (vacuum leak) between the carb and the reed valves. In my experience, an air leak fault will be "masked" by enriching the mixture by choking the intake. If you are sure you dont have an air leak, then by all means check and rebuild the carbs and pump.
