chrysler help please

I have a chrysler out board model 555hd could some one please tell me what year it is and should it have a charging system also any other information would be appreciated

Hi Aussie2<br /> My list shows your motor to be a 1972 electric start. The list shows other 1972 models as having an alt. So I would say you probably do not have a charging system. I am sorry thats about all imfo. I could find.<br />Lets hope someone else has some more. Good luck.

thanks for the info i was beginning to think that it didnt have a charging system it appears to be magneto based
