i had a 6 hp a few years ago.. parts where very hard to find .. but i also wasn't "" on line "" either .. i did find parts from ''american outboards '' on eastern shore maryland.. i don't know when ,,, but that's the first thing LEE IOKOKA did when he took over chrysler,, stop markin' outboards.. ( a smart man )

Re: Chrysler Motors

The Chrysler 105 was made from 66-78 and <br />82-83. It was a very reliable motor. Parts are still available for these inline 4's. Propellers are available, tho I don't know of anybody making high performance props. I know they made a ss prop, cause I have one here in the shop. One thing I would do before purchasing one of those old gems is is make sure it is running on all four cylinders...spark test(pull one at a time while running), and a compression test(130-165psi with all holes similar). I had a customer run one for 2 years on 3 cylinders without knowing he had a problem, then he used it for a couple of months longer before we could find a good powerhead. just a few Thoughts

Just so you know crab bait...when the feds bailed out Chrysler in the early 80's one of the conditions was for them to liquidate all of their subsidiaries...likely the only reason their is no Chrysler Marine today...they were very popular and ahead of their time in the technology department...just a Thought
