good evening... i have a 1974 chrysler courier 154 with the original 90hp outboard.
my question? the boat is original and did not come with the tilt/trim. i have purchased the whole unit (pistons/pump/rods) off of a 100hp outboard and it appears to be the same late 70's vintage.
the transom mount appears the same.. yess i got the whole unit, with the exception of one other adjustable bracket or a cross brace?? located to the front of the transom mount. this is a larger tube style thing that can, i suppose, be screwed on and off...
it looks like i just have to lift the motor up, uninstall all the components onto my mount, install the piston lifters to my motor.... hook up the wires... a switch... and say goodbye land..
soo the question is, can this be done? JUST CHANGE OVER THE PARTS, AND NOT PULL THE BRACKET OFF... lol anyone know the difference between a 90hp transom mount and a 100hp transom mount... was that brace just for a heavier motor??
i can take pictures of the 2 mounts if it would be easier...
thanks to all
chris.
