Chrysler will not go in reverse

I have a older Chrysler 45hp My dad hit a sand bar with it and now I cant get it to go in reverse with the controls but I can get it to go in at the motor.Any one know how to set the cables. MOD. 459h9h<br />thanks Cobra..
