I could not read thread, does not load correctly. I seen the photo, did not see photo of armature. The whites specs may be solder thrown off of the armature,which means new armature.

try going down a couple of posts to "Is Schematic in the House"; the armature spins still and the pump works, motor just has a bad ground. trying to weigh in on repairing (my preference) rebuilding at cost of 225, or replacing at 433

Got a better look, what I see looks ok, I would not clean the copper field windings with a brush, it could remove some of the insultation. If you want to bring the motor to me, I will try to get going for you, test and locate problem, or locate a replacement motor. There is not enough of these motors sold for anyone to make aftermarket parts.
