Well guys. I cant figure out where a wire goes. I have the factory manual (if you ever need any help, send me a request).
I had to take a bunch of stuff apart to get to the carbs and now I am putting it all back to together and guess what? I cant figure out where 1 small black ground wire goes. Here the pictures. You will see 2 small black ground wires that both come from the same wire bundle, the upper wire is in the right place (I took a cell pic of everything prior to starting), the other wire is circled in yellow and I dont know where to put it.

Thanks in advance to anyone that might have a Classic Fifty that could email me a picture of their two black wires.

Thanks!

Mike

I believe that that ground wire goes to the front lower cowling mounting bolt just to the right of the wire in picture #2. It has to be there so any electrical parts that mount to that frame work gets a good ground. It looks as like the bolt that it should be on is missing yet in the picture. JMO

I agree.

I also notice you are still missing a couple wires on the rectifier. There should be another yellow stator wire and a red wire to connect (thru a fuse) to the battery cable on the starter relay. Make sure each wire is on the correct post, if they are wrong sparks occur and it can let the smoke out of the wires.
