Re: Clean sealed gauges
I must have misread "There is a white film on the glass fronts". I assumed the front of the glass was oxidized..... Either way, you need the right equipment to unroll the housing, remove the glass and seal than the replacement glass has to be the correct thickness a new seal fitted and the housing is than re-rolled back over the glass and seal. Look under instrument repairs on the net, give one a call they will be able to tell you if what you have is worth repairing or not. What brand are your gauges? Restoring old gauges is usually only worth the trouble if you are actually doing a restoration project.
