I am wondering is there a product aside from hull cleaner to use on the outside of the boat to de brown it? And whats the difference between wax for boats and wax for cars, etc. TIA

There are a Zillion types of waxes on the market. And as with 2 cycle oil questions, you will get a Zillion folks swear by their brand and/or type of best wax to use. Some waxes have more grit in them to both clean and shiny your vehicle/boat. So read the brands and their claims and choose one and have at it. I will say this with absolute honesty, after I would wax (yes wax with car wax) my Hydro Bass boat some years ago, there was a huge difference in both top end speed and handling. But that would only last for one maybe two trips out afterwards. But I would pick up 3 to 4 MPH speed just from waxing the entire hull... Of course the metal-flake would glisten amazingly too...

You'll get a lot of answers but in IMHO, the biggest difference is price. If it says "marine or boat" it costs more.

I've been using Woody Wax restoration wax for getting the oxidation off my 22 year old celebrity bowrider. Working pretty darn good so far, considering.
