Cleaning Boat Cover Underside Cloth

I have a vinyl cover that has slight mildew and stains on the cloth underside. Any good cleaning methods that will not damage the cover?

spead it out and wash with dawn dishwashing liquid and a cup of bleach, mixed in a bucket, and a soft scrub brush. then hang on fence, rinse throughly, and allow to dry.

Thanks, I was worried about the bleach harming the cloth but I will try it.
