What can I use to get the black water marks off the sides? I've tried some products but none have seemed to work well. I do not want to waste any more money. Thanks.

Re: cleaning my pontoon

I take Fantastic, or black streak remover which can be found at Walmart. Spray some on the area let sit a minute and wash with a wet towel, it should come off. If it doesn't take a green scrubbie and spray on that and LIGHTLY scrub the area until it comes off, but fantastic should take it off with hardly any effort.

Been in the buisness for 21 years, never found any kind of spray on product that works very well.

As statad use a fine Scotch brite pad, never tried the Fantastic but that should work as good as anything, scrub in one direction, back and forth or up and down to give the tubes a grain, it will look alot better.

I originally thought you meant the black streaks on the sides of the pontoon like the fiberglass area, that area I still use the fantastic or the black streak remover. Looking at the previous statement it looks like he's talking about the toons. I haven't tried cleaning them yet, (kind of afraid) I'll make it look worse. I do have black water marks on the toons it's a 2003 Lextra 24 footer. When I put her up for the season I'll try cleaning the toons.

Re: cleaning my pontoon

I keep my pontoon boat in the water year round and when I do pull it out for maintence It is real dirty I use a pressure washer to remove the alge and barnicles then I spray on aluminum wheel cleaner The only place I've been able to find it is the local NAPA parts store it comes in a gallon container and I put it in a pump up bug sprayer, spray it on wait about 10 to 15 mins and wash off The pontoons look brand new when done
