cleaning rustoleum paint

Hello to all, I have seen that some people use rusto. to paint there tin boats and was wondering how it stands up to being cleaned with most of the boat cleaning products talked about on this forum. thanks

Well .. one.. after you prep and apply your " put brand name here " .. and when/if it starts to fail.. your going to pay me 2x more then if I have to redo it..

ONE most important thing about any paint is prep..Make sure your prep is spot on. I mean.. when you think your done prepping ... prep some more. When you think your ready to prime.. prep some more..

When you think your done cleaning/wiping ... clean/wipe more.. and after your 5 lb rags are gone.. go get some more and start again..and again... untill you have NO residue AT ALL !

Thanks Doc, so it does not really matter wht paint I use as long as I do it right gotya. also I was looking at some of the rusto. marine paints and did not see alot of color choices or am I looking in the wrong places thanks for the info.

nope u are right. they dont have to many ..... not like some of the big name marine paint makers

I didnt say that it does not matter :) ( and it does if you know my opinion on paints .. cough no rusto..cough.. ).

It does matter what kind of paint you use depending on intentions/labor/cost .

Ok, I get it now duh. anyway the color choices in rusto marine paints were limited so what do you recomend and thanks for the reply.
