Cleaning the honey comb filter on carb.

In searching for solutions to my fuel pump issues I came across discussions on the honey comb filter in the card inlet. I'm no boat expert but I've dealt with more than enough old gasser truck carbs to know the honey comb filter rarely needs replacing. Just clean it with arresol carb cleaner. FWIW. BTW great forum.

mine was disgusting. I pulled it, soaked in gasoline for 15 mins then sprayed it out with brake cleaner and it looked like new

Carb cleaner and compressed air works for me.
