Cleaning the LP and HP pumps on fuel pump

I've seen a video on how to take the fuel pump apart, but how do you actually clean the pumps? Debating doing this myself versus sending off but didn't know if anyone else had tried to do this on their own. I also don't have a way of actually testing the pumps....

I did my own a off season a few years ago. I used a paint stripper on the interior of the passages and holding tank, anywhere there was the paint and fuel together. I just left it in bare aluminum. Going on four years and still running strong. It`s fairly easy, just don't get in a hurry. Drain the cell thoroughly of gas before disassembly. Flush with water.
