Clear coat for paint on floor?

Want to paint over wooden floors on my boat with epoxy paint and cover it with some kind of clear coat so I can use a wash down kit but the epoxy clear coat is like $300 for 1.5 gallons does anybody have any ideas?

I would think the epoxy itself would be fine without the clear, clear would eventually scuff through and you would think it would make it really slick when wet.

well right but not with sand or non skid granuales placed in it while wet
