Hello,
I noticed that as my stereo is off and ignition is off, I get a static noise in all speakers.
What could this be?

Thank you.

Do you have a transducer onboard and is the sounder isolated?

18rabbit,
I have a Garmin fish finder with the trancducer...
Is this what you're asking?
Other electronic devices besides fish finder - VHF, Garmin GPS.

Switch off your other electronics one by one until the noise stops. You will then know what is causing the problem. It should then just be a matter of moving that components associated wiring away from your stereo. Or it may be that if the unit responsible has some sort of internal oscillator / capacitor that you have to move that component away . If you have sufficient cable move the unit first as re-wiring can be a nightmare if the cabling is concealed behind fancy panels.

Sorry, Lenny. I mis-read your post. I thought I saw ‘clicking’, not ‘static’ in your post. If clicking, I would suspect the sounder. Andy has a good idea about switch each accessory on/off to find the source. And sometimes radio placement (relative to other radiating electronics) can make a difference in eliminating the static.
