i have a 1973 boca grande passmaster 26' powered by a mercruiser 888.engine is ford 302 and I think the s.n.# is 8r112671.it has a san juan engineering and mfg. heat exchanger, but it does'nt match what i see in the clymer manual. seems to be a lot of pressure in system when we ran it.my friend(i think) set it up like the one on his 351 in his boat.it ran well for a while, but he could'nt get the carb and/or timing right.I don't know? THE next day would not start and i found lots of gas in oil.Changed the oil and filter and pulled plugs and cleaned. when I got to the #8 cylinder it was full of coolant.could this be caused by hooking up the closed cooling to flow wrong direction. If anyone knows about this PLEASE HELP! also need info on block off plates for the exhaust riser elbows.WHy is there a pin hole in them? thanks
