CMC power trim PT130 will it lift my 1973 135 evinrude

I found a CMC power trim and tilt unit (PT-130) for sale. I have a 1973 evinrude 135, im wondering if this will work. I know the spec's say up to 130hp im wondering if my 135 weighs that much more. It has a rebuilt actuator by CMC marine, but doesnt have the wire harness. Anyone know if this will work?

Selling price is $200 what do you think on the price?

I think it will work fine. I have one on my '76 85hp and it works great. Basically, our OMC crossflow V4 motors are very similar and almost identical in weight. The older motors were rated different also, so a '73 135 is more like a current 115 or 120.

I think the price sounds real good too. I'd go for it.

The actual weight of the engine I don't thimk is even considered, trimming at speed is what they look at.

It should do fine, prior to '74 all engines were rated at the crank after that they were rated at the prop shaft so today your 135 would be a 115-120.

I have had a CMC for years and love it, never a single problem.

I think the change to propshaft rating took place in the early 80s, finishing about 1985.

These are good units. They will handle that engine. That price is a deal. Buy it!
