I have an aftermarket CMC tilt for my 70 HP Johnson. The other day on the water it decided to go up but not down. when I examined the tilt relays one started to smoke because they seemed to have some water on them. I came home and replaced both relays and made careful note of where the wires went on each relay. when I went to connect the negataive battery wire from the relays back to the battery it throws sparks and the circuit breaker that runs to the positive terminal from the relay keeps tripping immediately. Does anyone know what might be the problem?
