I noticed that the co-pilot (hope that's what it is called - the bar the engine sits on and goes left and right) is dry. What can I lubricate it with ? Is White lighting lithum grease good or is that to thick. ? a teflon spray ? WD-40 ?
Thanks.

If it's the 70 hp motor there should be a grease fitting on the swivel bracket, tilt the motor up all the way to see it and use a multi-purpose grease. Pump the grease until it comes out of the bottom and top.

Unless you're talking about the steering cable in the tilt tube. Take out the steering cable, clean out the tilt tube with something like a shotgun cleaning brush, grease up the inside of the tilt tube and end of the steering cable with marine grease, and reinstall the cable.

There is an add on way to keep the cable end greased after doing the above; http://ww2.iboats.com/Seachoice-Ste...201566009--session_id.734900924--view_id.2952
