Has anyone ever used the product "Coat It" by the Goop company? The bottom paint on my aluminum boat has seen its day plus I have a few leaks. with that said a strip and repaint is in the works. There are a few hull repairs so a new coat is needed to cover the blemishes.
The product states that it is a good waterproof sealer for aluminum hulls and goes on thick allowing it to fill and seal leaky seams and rivits. Its also reinforced with FG fibers to add to its ridigity. Thats what it states, just wondering if anyone has used it and can vouch for it.
While Im on the topic, I have a few gallons of stripper in the garage to remove the paint and a powerwasher. However I have a friend of a friend who does soda blasting for a living. I know that sand blasting is a poor idea, but what about soda? Do I still run the risk of making additional holes?
