Cobra and Stringer HELP !!!

I have a 3.8L buick engine with a OMC stringer sterndrive. Is it possibly to simply switch to an OMC Cobra sterndrive without too much trouble?

Changing from a stringer to anything requires you to do massive transom work because the hole you have is a lot bigger than the cutout of the Cobra/Volvo/Merc which share the same cut out. You would be better off just finding another boat.

Ayuh,... Agreed, 'n the Buick motor won't bolt up to anything but the stringer...
