I removed my outdrive & replaced the bellows and impeller. My question is, when re-installing does anyone know the correct torque to tighten the 6 mounting nuts?<br /> Thanks, T.K.

Re: COBRA OUTDRIVE

IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE 6 5/8" NUTS THAT HOLD THE OUTDRIVE ON THE BACK OF THE BOAT ,THEN I DO NOT KNOW THE SPECIFIED TORQUE ,BUT I HAVE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED ALOT OF THESE AND HAVE NEVER TORQUED THEM.I JUST GET THEM GOOD AND TIGHT. BUT IF I WERE GOING TO TORQUE THEM I WOULD GUESS AT AROUND 45 FT/LBS. BUT IF YOU JUST MAKE SURE THEY ALL PULL UP EVENLY AND ARE GOOD AND TIGHT YOU SHOULD BE FINE.

Re: COBRA OUTDRIVE

Thanks for the help - I thought i had them pretty tight, but was surprised how much these nuts moved at 50 ft. lbs. Also I did start with the middle two nuts then criss-crossed the corner ones to even out the pressure. Thanks again- I hope to be Walleye Fishing real soon!!!! :D
