I have a 200 HP Mercury 1987 motor. It was running hot and the horn was going off. I replaced the water pump and the horn does not go off now but the cold/hot gauge moves to about 3/4 and will gradually rise with RPM. Hoever, the motor hot horn no longer sounds and the motor appears to be performing fine. The water from the "pee hole" is luke worm to moderately hot. Is this normal reading? I have never had a cold/hot gauge. The gauge will return to cold at idle.
