Colder temps.

Ive got the itch to start working on the boat. Well here in PA, we’re looking at colder temps as in next Monday the low is 32 degrees. So I’ve always been custom to 26 degrees or colder for 6 hours is bad. Should I be worried about the 32 degree night?

Well I'm guessing that the 32 is just a guess by the weather dude or dudettes. And while it might get to 32 at one location it may be warmer or colder at yours (even a few miles apart).

So if the guess was accurate you may be ok, but if they were wrong, is it worth the chance? Its your call

I put mine in, and up on its lift a few weeks ago when it was 80. It has been drained shortly there after and I also have a light bulb in the bilge just in case.

It it takes a lot longer than over night and a lot colder than 32F for freeze damage.

so fire it up. I suggest draining until ambient temps over 40 at night.
