Hello to everyone. I recently purchased a new boat and it came with a coleman 900xs as a tender. Here is my problem, the owners cannot locate the orginal paperwork for the dinghy and I cannot locate the hull id number on the boat. I thought it would have been stamped on the aluminum plate on the transom. No such luck. I made a phone call to coleman and all they could tell me is it was a 12 digit number located on the "right" side of the boat. Can anyone that owns one of these boats have a look and tell me where your numbers are located.
Thanks,
John

Why cant the owner request a copy of the paperwork from the department of Natural Resources and or the DMV.
The boat had to be registered and they have to transfer the registration to you to complete the sale. If they dont do the transfer then legally it's not your boat and you wont be able to title it or register it

Asian sibs usually have ID manufacturing plate number at back transom, at upper right side, next to tube holder. Should have a visible small rectangular plate attached with 2 tiny screws, check, If not probably was removed...

Happy Boating
