Collapsed rear motor mount?

I have been having a hard time getting my engine to align after finding a rear motor mount nut stripped out. I couldn't get my alignment tool in the coupler at all. So with a 1" bar it looked like the rear of the motor is down. After some research and a closer look, does this motor mount look collapsed?

Ok that's what I thought. Wasn't experiencing any vibrations, alignment check out good before I found the stripped nut. Tightened it down to spec and rechecked alignment and couldn't even get the tool started into the coupler. Would this cause the back of the engine to sit lower than its suppose to be?

Without torqing the bolt is should have been slightly high but it should not be showing any rubber around the edge,When the rear mounts collapse the rear of the engine squats down destroying the alignment and causes the coupler to fail.

ok thanks. I'm in the process of winterizing the motor before I pull it. Hopefully the coupler is OK. What started this was I have been trying to find the source of a noise that seems to coming from the back of the motor. Not sure if the bad alignment could have contributed to that type of noise or not.

It's likely. Misalignment binds the drive's engine yoke, which stresses the coupler and gimbal brg. I'm with the Doctor, your mounts look bad.

I'd pull the flywheel cover. It's easier to R&R your mounts, and will give you access to the coupler. I'd change it and forgot it. Also your gimbal brg. since you will be looking right at it.

Yeah for sure. I will closely inspect everything after I pull the motor this weekend
