Greetings all, I"m thinking of importing a Lowrance LCX 111C HD. I live in the UK and this model is not available here yet. Any thoughts on this unit much appreciated. I have been quoted $1900 shipped. Regards Minger

X-111 C-HD is a great unit but the Hard Drive contains Maps for the continental U.S. and Hawaii. For the U.S. it has Costal, Inland, and Topo land charts. Unless you can get with maps loaded for your area I do not think it is a good deal.<br /><br />X-110 C is the same unit without the hard drive, so it is $200 US cheaper. It still has a lot of USA detail charts. Both units have 2 memory card slots so you can get detailed charts for your area. The Hard drive is new design and supposed to be rugged 20 Gig drive but will it really hold up in the heat, cold , vibration and mosture of the marine enviroment. I think it will take time to tell.
