Compatable grease nipples?

I have a 1963 18hp evinrude twin,it runs sweet.
I need to replace a couple of grease nipples on the leg.
I am in the UK,and I was wondering if UK grease nipples are compatable with USA grease nipples.
If not,does anybody know what thread they are?

most US grease nipples are 1/8" NPT or 1/4" NPT

Except the 1/4-28 ones. (1/4" x 28 threads per inch)
