Complete Rebuild 1990 OMC 4.3L V6 Will not Shut off when key is set to off

I just finished a complete rebuild of a 4.3L OMC V6. Problem is when I shut off the key the engine keeps running. It is not diseling. I think I have some wires mixed up but I cannot figure out which one. The wiring diagram in the repair manual is not helping. Anyone else have this problem?

Most likely you have a wire on the back of your key switch on the wrong terminal. Not sure which was is correct because i dont know what type of switch you have. Sorry

Somewhere, Other than from the Switch, You're feeding Power to the Ignition Circuit..........<br />Only You can find it........<br />Start taking it back Apart, Till you Find your Mistake........

My guess is you have a 12volt feed on the coil that's hot all the time.
