Composite Props

Are these type of props any good? I was just thinking about purchasing one as a back up since i already have a nice alum prop. Thoughts or ideas? Thanks

Jack, I wish I knew that answer perfectly, because I have been considering buying the propulse 4 blade changeable pitch prop for my Force motor as well. I am running an Apollo SS at this time, I usually run the boat with two adults but at times I have 4 adults and 3 children in my boat and I would love to be able to change pitch to whatever I need with the load I am carrying at the moment, that would be sooo nice. But I do believe I am going to purchase one in the next month and see how good they are.

I can answer this from personal experience. If you are looking for an inexpensive spare prop to get you back to the dock, then yes. They are cost effective for that.
If you want to play and run a lot of torque with it, then no.
I had one, used it for play and everyday running...for about two weeks.
Bought a three blade...ended up with a two blade. (and no, I did not hit anything)
It now sits on my shelf of shame with other lessons learned
But, who knows, it could just be my luck that I got a bad one

Great thanks for the help guys, I just want something cheap and easy to store that i can use for a return trip to the dock if necessary. Thanks again.

The newer pirahna props are suppose to hold up well (I have heard the older ones did not). The cool thing with those is the simple blade replacement if you do damage it.
