I am trying to work on my volvo AQ 170 during the winter months here in minnesota(cold) i have boat in my shop which is not heated all the time only when i am out there working and i dont have a floor drain so i cant run the motor on muffs. I want to change the oil because it is milky hopefully due to condensation from sitting for 1.5 years, do you think i can heat oil up enough to drain with one of those electric dipstick heaters and also can i do a compression check on this motor without running it by just spinning the starter, should i take coil wire off to do this. Thanks

All the Sparkplugs have to be removed,+ then the motor turned over with the Starter for a Compression Test......

As for the Oil Change,..........
It's Not like you're in a Hurry,......
Pull the Drain Plug,+ Let it Drip for a Week.........

Just Don't attempt the Compression Test while the Oil is Out of it.........

Pull the coil wire off and ground it with a jumper. Dipstick heater won't hurt...get the oil out a lot quicker
