compression test on a pull start

is this possible looking to buy a used 2000 9.9 johnson and anything else to look for besides lower oil, overheat, water flow, and compression also should i have this run in can or is muffs ok 1 more thing how does 575$ sound if all checks out

Absolutely possible....

Remove spark plugs

Install compression tester in desired cylinder

Set no choke, set throttle to wide open (so there is no restriction from the throttle plate)

Recommended that someone holds the ignition kill button if it is momemtary style or set ignition to off so there is no spark

Mark the flywheel and shoot for at least 5 full revolutions, for accuracy try to turn each cylinder tested an equal amount of revolutions

That should do it...

just remove spark plugs, no need for wot, on 2 stroke, 5 good pulls.

junior1113 , don't buy it. just call me and tell me where it is. LOL.
