I'm going to perform compression tests on my twin 302 Ford Pleasurecraft engines. Here's how I normally do it. Is this correct?
1. Remove all spark plugs
2. Open carb to full throttle
3. Remove wire from coil to center of distributor
4. Test each cylinder
Oh, forgot to mention, I run the engines up to operating temp before testing.
Thanks

Re: Compression test

Sounds ok. Cylinders should be approx within 10% of each.

Do you have a problem or just curious??
