Re: compression

No specific number but anything over 100 is ok (120 or so is best) and all cylinders within 10% of each other.

Re: compression

I have the OMC manual and the Seloc manual. The OMC manual is worth the money in my opinion. Better details, pictures and print.

Re: compression

Just picked up an 85. Have you had any other problems with the unit or just wondering about compression.. Mine is 115 on all but 110 the other. Did you check at WOT

Re: compression

in response to the last reply... no problems at all. the motor runs great. i was asking about the compression because i think i blew the head gasket. we were out on friday and it started to lose power. i am99% sure that i put oil in at last fill up but also put dry gas in as i got water in the vent when i was cleaning the boat out and was wondering if dry gas would have an adverse affect on the fuel mix. i am going to work on it tommorrow as this is not the first time for the head gasket, good thing for plate glass and sand paper. any thoughts on the dry gas?? scott
