Does anyone have any opinions about Comprop 4 blade props? They sell at Cabellas for about $95.00.

What are you putting it on?

I had one on my boat (18" w/ 175hp I/O) and it threw all four blades in a hard turn, under power. I am well under both the weight and HP limits set by the manufacturer, but still the blades just let go. With that said, their customer service was outstanding. I had a replacement in 9 days, including shipping both directions.

On the other hand, my father has one on his pontoon boat, with a merc 75 on it. It has been absolutely trouble free for 7-8 seasons.

For only a little bit more money I would suggest a Hustler/Legacy prop. It is hands down the best aluminum prop on the market.

Thank you for your opinions....that definitely helps my decision. It was going on a 16 ft. Ranger, but not anymore. I found a Solerus (sp?) for just a little bit more. Thanks.
