Has anyone used a Comprop (composition prop)? They are less expensive and are supposed to break with hard impact so as to not damage the motor. For my application they make a four blade prop. I currently run a 19 p three blade and run about 4800 wot. How would a four blade 19 work compared to a 17 p three blade?

Thanks

Re: Comprop

In theory a 4 blade 19p should lower the rpm a very little. Higher friction.

Re: Comprop

Thanks Sony and Rod. This morning after rereading my post it seems a little unclear. My question, I guess, is I want to raise my RPM to around 5200-5400 so from a 19p three blade I would need to go to a 17p three blade (400 RPM boost). How does that compair to a 4 blade? With more friction or resistance would I need to go to a 15p four blade to get the 400 RPM? I have read some other posts about this but I want to make sure I am thinking right.
Thanks

Re: Comprop

The extra resistence could show up as 50 rpm. I suggest a 17" 4 blade.
