Computer Crashed - iTunes not backed up

Anyone with experience recovering music from an iPod? Computer crashed and the songs were not backed up from iTunes. I know there are programs out there to pull songs off an iPod just wondering if there is any personal experience.

Do NOT just plug it in as it wiped mine but i did have backup so it was no big deal

That looks good Tommays thanks. I will have to wait till we get our new computer to give it a shot but it looks like something that will make my daughter happy!! (and her 1000 songs)

I have had that happen to me before and it also works for putting music on 2 ipods with different home home computers...

You can contact iTunes tech support, and they will set your account to re-download all your purchased songs and videos. It's a one-time thing, they don't like to tdo it too often.

I crashed a hard drive, and my wife had a bunch of songs on the computer that she had not sync'd up to the iPod, and we were able to get everything back.

That's good to know Bob, thanks. Maybe I'll try that first, it certainly would be easier. Got the new Dell on order, should be in late next week!
