My 01 Mercruiser has a port the dealer service personnel use to read the hours engine has run and hours in RPM increments. Is there a device sold that will perform this task for me on my own? It is a once a year type thing.
As I recall, the Mercruiser EFI's only give you total hours. Only the Mercury Outboards that are either EFI (2 and 4 stroke), Optimax, or Varado will give you the time at each rpm.
Don.. My first service on this Mercruiser gave the whole package. That was what motivated my interest in a unit to obtain this data at will. It is in a 01 Rinker.
