I need to repair a hole where a small lag shield anchor holding up a wrought iron gate pulled out of a stucco wall. I would like to repair the hole and then redrill and put in a larger lag shield anchor. What is the best material to buy to fill the hole yet let me redrill for the larger anchor?

Re: Concrete/Stucco Repair

If the hole is not too large you might be better off going with a bigger anchor. There is an anchor called a double expansion anchor that goes up to a 3/4 diameter hole,,3/8 bolt. If not I would clean up the hole and use one of the anchoring epoxies. Like anchor bond or ramset C-6. Home depot has a brand but the name escapes me now. They come in a caulk tube and mix as you apply. The stuff is amazingly strong, and expensive. You can fill the hole and set your anchoring in one step with these epoxies.
