For those that have pulled their drive and replaced their cone clutch, how long does it take? How long should it take a shop for billing purposes?

thanks

That's a hard question to answer unless you have done a lot of them. The easy stuff is things like:
1 hr remove/install drive
.25 hr to check alignment (no adjustment needed)
.5 hr Drain gear lube, remove drive shaft, top cap and upper drive shaft clutch assembly

Now the upper drive shaft needs to come apart, clutch removed.
Most shops reaching this spot will reseal the upper drive, which requires more time. Depending on which model drive it may need to have the upper shaft replaced, don't know would need to check bulletins
