Connected terminals backwards and fried harness

I have a 1996 225 Saltwater EFI and I mistakenly connected red to black and black to red on the battery with the switch set on ALL and the second battery connected correctly.

I fried the main engine harness that comes out of the big rectangular box on the starboard side of the engine and connects across the engine to what I think is the alternator and the other big electrical plug on the port side of the engine.

Does anyone know what that wiring harness is called and where I might find a decent used one from a blown motor or some such thing?

Thanks.

Re: Connected terminals backwards and fried harness

if I remember right, one goes to alternator, the other one is for ground. It would be easier if you can take a picture.
or
do you mean pin connector? it can be DTS harness. What color is it?
