Guys, in a Yamy 250 4 stroke can anyone tell me what are the two square electrical plugs for? There is one right next to the main wiring harness round plug with two wires on it and there is one with four pink wires on it. I assume one maybe for the remote power trim of the engine and the other maybe the trim position sender, right? I am helping my friend with the installation He repower from a old 1998 2 stroke and was told he could use the same ignition wiring harness. The main harness is no problem connecting it to the 4 stroke but I can't figure out where to plug the remote trim and the trim sender. Thanks for the help.

you can use the 10 pin main, the tach will have to be set to 4 stroke and two wire trim and 12 pole alternator, if your tach does not have the dip switches it will have to be replaced.then order the harness adapter to mate the alarm/trim wires from the engine to the older style tach.<br />its a 6y5-85335-00-00.tell him to look on page 3-29 of the 05 tech guide.

Thanks for the help! The paper that comes with the engine shows how to set up the tack switches and it is supposed to have three switches. I looked at the tack He has and it only have two switches. Can we use this two switches tack? thanks!
