out of 4 connecting rods 1 is perfect one is trash and two are questionable of the two that are questionabl i need your advice 1 has a perfect wrist pin journal not ncik or anything but where it connect to the crank there is a pit the size of the point on a sharp pencil in the middle of the journal not on the cap but the rod side! just enough to where i can feel it when i drag a pencil over it. the second one is the opisite the part that connect to the crank is fine but the wrist pin side has a small pit the size of a shap pencil. Would you use them or get new ones or am i being to picky???? I meanif you run your finger accross them you would never feel it so it makes me think the bearing roller would roll right over it but i dont want to split it open in a month to find it destroyed my crank!!

Re: connecting rods

If it is just one small pit the size you indicate, I would use it. And they don't come any pickier than I am when it comes to rods and bearings. The rollers roll right over oil holes all the time.
