Ok if you've read my post about my Merc 20 hp you might understand my consideration for a newer motor. I found someone selling his 2001 15hp 4 stroke Mercury (manual start) for $1500. He says it has less than 30 hrs on it. Ok here are my questions. Is $1500 a good price? And: can anyone tell by the model number (1f15203yd) if this motor is a short or long shaft? Once again, thanks in advance. You guys are one heck of a resource. If I could help others on this board I would but I'm useless at this point
